Project One - Final Deliverables
Our final design summary for Project One can be found below:
Final Design Summary
How did our design compare to other groups who had different scenarios to solve from?
When we finished the blade, we compared our product to group Tues-10, who were to make a more cost-efficient wind turbine blade for a village of low income. Of course, since one of their key objectives was to reduce cost much like it was in our case, they looked at the problem in a very similar lens. However, unlike our team, they also concluded that minimizing production energy was also key in making sure that the material that they were using was abundant and at-the-ready - especially in a village with a decline in resources.

It was interesting to note that even though our scenarios were different, and even though they had slightly different objectives than we did, they still concluded to make their blade out of the same material that we had decided on, that being the low alloy steel. However this may have been due to both teams wanting cost-efficient blades.
